Happy Sunday from Hawaii!
Today I have a bit of a long story for you about things coming full circle.
If you don’t want to read the full story, here’s the TL;DR:
I bought a beer website. Check out the fun interview I did with my friend Doug Cunnington.
So, my parents divorced when I was really young and I spent my youth bouncing back and forth between Hawaii and Wisconsin.
I actually went to ten different schools growing up. Craziness.
My freshman and sophomore years of high school were on two different islands – Maui and Hawaii island (the “Big” island)
I was an OK student and spent a lot of time either thinking about the ocean or bodyboarding.
My junior year was spent in frigid Wisconsin, land of cheese and beer.
It was cold. I missed the ocean and surfing waves.
That year I took an entrepreneurship class. For my class project I somehow came up a pretty cool idea, a fusion of sorts between my Hawaii and Wisconsin experiences.
My idea was to create a surf-themed brewery!
I remember emailing a brewery on the east coast and them being really impressed with my idea. They gave me their business plan, different schematics and some other stuff.
I got an ‘A’ on the project. I wish I had kept that stuff.
So this brings me to today.
I bought a beer website.
I’m excited to announce that I recently purchased 52brews.com, a site on all things beer.
I guess I was destined to own a business relating to beer.
Check out the site and let me know what you think.
I wanted to get a second opinion on the site and get an expert’s thoughts on how to grow the site.
So, I actually reached out to my friend niche website entrepreneur, youtuber, beer connoisseur and all around awesome guy Doug Cunnington of Niche Site Project fame.
We recorded an interview for my YouTube channel here. Check it out, there are a lot of great insights on how to scale an online business, email marketing, funnels, financial independence and more.
Going forward, I’m going to publishing videos and making 52Brews.com a public case study.
Happy to announce that I will be publishing monthly reports on 52Brews over on Doug’s site!
By the way, if you haven’t done so already, definitely go and pick up Doug’s templates and systems. He gives them away for free if you sign up to his email list.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
P.S. I still think a surf-themed brewery is an awesome idea. Maybe once I have made enough income from my niche sites 😉
