Beau Mueller - About MeAloha!  I’m an all-around ”web cowboy”  from Hawaii.  I’ve been doing web-related work for nearly 15 years, including web design & development, online marketing, web strategy consulting, project management, content management and more.

Besides working as a freelancer and consultant, I am currently a part-time MBA student at the Shidler College of Business and work part-time as the Public Relations Coordinator for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies.

BeauMueller.com is the home of my online portfolio and web strategy blog.

A brief summary of my professional history:

When I was an undergraduate at the University of Hawai’i, I was lucky enough to be in charge of building the Geology Department’s website.  That segued into different opportunities including:

Teaching community classes on web-related technologies at a community center on Moloka’i

Being the Online Content Director at Clear Channel Radio Hawaii

Co-founding and acting as the President of a Hawaiʻi-based Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company, Axiom Groove LLC

Giving a successful workshop on Social Media Optimization at the University of Hawaiʻi’s Outreach College

Having my own multi-faceted web services and consulting company since 2008, Mueller Strategic LLC

I recently returned from Japan, where I had the privilege to teach English at a rural high school for two years.   I was brought to Japan on the JET Programme, a government program that brings young professionals over in an effort to foster international exchange.

If you’d further like to get to know me professionally, you can view or download my current resume here.

I married the woman of my dreams in July of ’09 and am blessed with a young son, Finn, born in November of 2010.  Life is good!

Hobbies of mine include bodyboarding, chess and shogi (Japanese chess).  I also enjoy writing, and while in Japan kept a shogi blog.  Soon, I’ll post more here on my writing and other activities relating to chess.

Mahalo for visiting my site!
